Ika is a top notch Diversity, Equity & Inclusion educator who has tirelessly worked to promote this important pillar in the growing Canadian legal cannabis space. With reports recently confirming that BIPOC individuals representing less than 7% of the entire industry, I would encourage more licensed producers and adjacent businesses to consult with DiversityTalk and Ika Washington. They won't be disappointed.

Ika is an amazing person and has an informed opinion when it comes to implementing various DEI-related policies and initiatives. She's a very effective communicator as she's able to balance technical understanding with empathy in order to help people become informed on important topics. She's someone whom I seek out when I have a query regarding policy and the wider ripple effects it can have both in the short and long term.

Having worked with Ika on a range of events and projects within the Cannabis space, I have always found her to be conscientious and proactive, in addition to being an inspiration to the other team members around her. With her focus on diversity, equity and inclusion within the Cannabis industry, she is proving to be an up and coming leader in the field and is regularly called upon to present her work at the leading international conferences, again acting as an inspiration to others in the community.

The first time I heard @behighlymindful speak I told everyone around me that I met our country's future Prime Minister. I meant it! If Ika announced she was running for a political campaign I wouldn't be surprised and I know she would WIN! Ika, has taught me more about diversity and inclusion than anyone else I have ever known. I've had the privilege of taking a course she developed where she helped me understand equity.
